National Medal of Science Awards: President to Honor Nation's Top Scientists

OIA's New Office Head

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. C. Suzanne Iacono as Head of the Office of Integrative Activities. Dr. Iacono joined NSF in 1998 from Boston University where she served on the faculty of the School of Management. Prior positions include serving as a visiting scholar at the Sloan School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a research associate at the Public Policy Research Office, University of California at Irvine. Since joining NSF, Dr. Iacono has served as a Program Director, Senior Science Advisor and the Deputy Assistant Director for the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE). Dr. Iacono received her PhD from the Department of Management Information Systems, University of Arizona and her MA and BA from the University of California, Irvine in social ecology.
